CoolDock
Add live widgets, app shortcuts, and quick controls to a customizable second Dock for Mac.
CoolDock is a customizable second Dock for macOS that combines live widgets, favorite apps, folders, and quick controls in one compact strip. It normally works alongside Apple's Dock, but also offers layouts that hide the built-in Dock while CoolDock is running.
Apps, information, and controls in one place
- Apps and files: Pin apps, organize folders, browse files, search, manage bookmarks, and temporarily hold items in File Shelf.
- Everyday widgets: See calendar events, reminders, weather, clocks, Pomodoro timers, music controls, clipboard history, and CPU, memory, or battery stats.
- Connected services: Add widgets for tools such as GitHub, Linear, Supabase, Gmail, Shopify, Stripe, Claude, and Codex. Some require account authorization or API credentials.
Layouts and personalization
Choose fixed, floating, or edge-reveal layouts; adjust styling and wallpapers; and create separate Dock profiles for different tasks. CoolDock supports external displays, including showing the Dock on every connected screen.
Compatibility, privacy, and licensing
CoolDock requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later and supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Features such as window previews, screenshots, calendar access, and app controls may request macOS permissions. Local settings and connected-widget credentials stay on the Mac, although integrations communicate with their respective services. Internet access is needed to activate a license.
CoolDock is paid, with no automatically renewing subscription. The one-year license expires after 12 months; Lifetime Access keeps the purchased version working indefinitely but includes only one year of updates. The higher-priced Forever Edition includes future updates. Purchases include a 14-day money-back guarantee.
